You might remember that a few months back, our Toronto team spent a week in Merida, Mexico visiting with our team of talented developers. We had such a blast, and it was time to return the hospitality. But here at Cognota, we don’t do things by halves, so the Merida team came to stay in Toronto for the whole summer!
It’s been a whirlwind few weeks but last night we said a fond farewell to the team as they headed back home to Mexico. We miss them already, so we’ve been busy putting together a few of the best memories from their visit!
Fun in the sun
Toronto is such a great place to be in summer. We took full advantage of every patio and park we could while the weather lasted!
It’s great to take in the city’s fine dining, but we also made sure to throw in a team barbecue and a picnic or two as well.

Working hard, or hardly working
But it’s not all play here at Cognota (although it is all fun). One of the best parts of the visit was getting to work together face-to-face again. It really helped us reconnect as a team and ramp up the energy!

From team meetings and demo days to daily stand-ups, the office was a hive of activity over the summer. We’ll make sure to keep that energy up until the next visit!
So long, farewell!
We hate to say goodbye, so instead, we said “see you later” as without a doubt there will be lots more visits between the two teams in the future. Until next time!
