showcasing a handful of the L&D industry’s most influential thought
leaders in technology and instructional design.
Moderated by Joe McClary, CEO of IACET, the webinar presented speakers Bror Saxberg, CLO of Kaplan, Nick Howe, CLO of Area9 Learning, and host Ryan Austin, CEO of Cognota. Travis Jordan, founder and CEO of Instructional Design Central, led the Q&A portion of the webinar.
The event explored issues facing
instructional design today, including how to scale instructional design
by harnessing new innovations and applied learning sciences to solve
real-life learning problems.

Session 3: Learning Engineering – The Art of Using Learning Science to Improve Performance

Description: There’s much research about how learning can be enhanced by the right kinds of learning experiences. Rather than random walks with technology (“Video is great, right?”), we’ll take a closer look at what science and research tells us about how people learn. We’ll then turn our focus to learning engineering–the application of learning science at scale.
