The last few months have been hard on us here at Cognota. We love nothing better than hitting the road to go and meet L&D folks at some of the amazing events we’re lucky enough to attend around the world every year.
Obviously, that’s just not on the cards at the moment. But we’re delighted to see so many of our favourite learning events turning to digital delivery and we can’t wait to see how they go.
Next week (Sep 29 – Oct 1) we’ll be attending the ASU + GSV Summit online. This event is a must-attend for any learning leader who invests, or is interested in, education/learning technology.
ASU + GSV Summit – The Event
The annual ASU + GSV Summit started in 2010 and is a collaboration between Arizona State University (ASU) and Global Silicon Valley (GSV) to connect leaders in learning who are focused on transforming the way we learn and work.
The summit comprises a mixture of keynote speeches and panel discussions from a mixture of world leaders, entrepreneurs, social innovators and many more.
Amongst the attendees you’ll find everyone from learning and workforce professionals, cutting-edge learning technology representatives, investors, preK-12 leaders, CLO’s and talent experts, and tons more.
The Agenda
ASU + GSV Summit consistently brings a fantastic set of keynote speakers to the table. This year, attendees will enjoy a variety of keynotes from notable industry leaders and social innovators, including General Colin Powell, Former Secretary of State; Bill Nye, World-Renowned Scientist & TV personality; and Gloria Steinem, Writer & Political Activist, to name just a few.
Aside from fascinating presentations and insightful fireside chats, the summit also offers attendees the opportunity to network with a truly unique group. During this year’s virtual event, attendees will still have plenty of opportunity to engage, both with each other and with speakers through:

- Virtual question submission to speakers
- Office Hours & Salons
- Relax & Refresh (daily yoga and wellness sessions)
The GSV Cup Elite 200
Another reason we’re excited for this event is Cognota’s participation in the GSV Cup Elite 200. This competition for early-stage education, corporate learning, and talent tech start-ups offers a unique opportunity for companies like Cognota to connect with a wide audience of learning professionals.
This year, each nominee was asked to submit a short video presentation for judges to evaluate. Each video is available on the ASU + GSV Summit website and, once evaluated by the judging panel, three finalists will be chosen.
