Jess Almlie is a learning and performance strategist with over 25 years of experience across multiple industries. After serving as the vice president of learning experience for WEX benefits, Jess started Learning Business Advisor Consulting, a company dedicated to helping L&D leaders and teams to work more strategically, intentionally, and with measurable impact. Whether consulting on strategy, coaching L&D leaders through their unique challenges, or sharing thought leadership through her writing and speaking, Jess is continuously challenging learning and development professionals to shift their thinking and their actions in ways that allow them to increase their impact and serve as strategic business partners. Jess hosts a podcast, “L&D Must Change” that highlights the voices of L&D leaders working to change the people development industry for the better. She also shares her own thoughts through a bi-weekly LinkedIn newsletter of the same name. Jess holds an M.S. in Educational Leadership, a B.A. in Organizational Communication, and a certificate in Improving Human Performance from ATD. She is active in the local and national talent development community and recently wrapped up a three-year term serving as a National Advisor for Chapters for ATD.
